What are your hours?

The Chelsea is open Monday–Thursday from 11:00 until 9:00, Friday and Saturdays 11:00 until 10:00. We are closed on Sundays.

Holiday Closings

We are closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.

Do you accept reservations?

Walk-ins are welcome; seating is on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are accepted for parties of 5+ by phone only. Please call 252-637-5469 for reservation requests.

We ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your confirmed reservation time and we will seat you once all of your party has arrived. We are unable to honor any reservations that arrive 30 minutes or more past the confirmed reservation time.

For parties under 5 people we recommend taking advantage of our call ahead seating. Simply call the restaurant 20-30 minutes before your anticipated arrival and if there is currently a wait for seating we will add your name to our list. Please understand that this is not a reservation or a guarantee of seating time but rather the opportunity to reduce your wait time upon arrival.

Does The Chelsea have a full bar?

Yes, we offer a full bar with a wide variety of wines, beers on tap and bottled, and craft cocktails. Click here to view our wine, beer, and specialty cocktail menus.

Do you have a corkage fee?

The corkage fee is $20.00 per bottle

Do you offer Happy Hour drink specials?

No, the state of North Carolina does not allow happy hour drink specials. Any special drink prices/promotions are available all day long.

Can flowers be delivered to the restaurant?

Yes, please make sure the reservation date, name, and time accompany the delivery so that we can ensure the flowers will be waiting at the correct table when you arrive.

Do you offer birthday cakes?

The restaurant does not make whole cakes available for birthdays; however we do offer a complimentary dessert for the birthday person. For special occasions you are welcome to bring in a birthday cake from a local bakery and our staff will assist you with serving.

I’m gluten free or have a special dietary needs, can you accommodate me?

We have a gluten free menu for our guests with gluten intolerance. Our chef can also accommodate most vegan and vegetarian diets. If you have more detailed or specialized dietary requests please call ahead and speak to our chef or owner to make sure that we are able to prepare something special that accommodates your needs.

Do you give out recipes?

Our chef will share some of our more popular recipes. Please submit your request via email at greatfood@thechelsea.com

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and cash.

I don’t live nearby but would like to order a gift card for a friend. Is that possible?

Yes, call the restaurant directly and any of our staff members can take your gift certificate information and payment over the phone. We are happy to mail the gift certificate to you or directly to the recipient.

Do you have a parking lot?

We are located in the center of the downtown historic district and do not have our own private lot. There is parking available along Middle and Broad Street as well as public parking lots located nearby.

Are you able to donate a gift certificate to my fundraising group?

Priority is given to non-profit groups within our community for the purpose of fundraising. Please understand we get a large number of requests and are unable to fulfill every donation request. If you wish to submit a donation request please send your request and organization information to our email greatfood@thechelsea.com If we are able to donate we will contact you.

How do I find out if you are hiring?

The Chelsea currently advertises on Facebook or Indeed when we are seeking new team members who are dedicated to superior guest service. If you don’t find a current listing please email your resume and  online application to greatfood@thechelsea.com and we will be glad to reply.

How can I provide feedback about my dining experience?
